- Jordan: Sunday, May 15 - 2005 at 08:31
- PRESS RELEASE
The Arab Bank, one of the leading financial institutions in the region, and Estarta Solutions, a leading software solutions company have successfully launched Phase I of the Bank's Enterprise Application Integration project - Harmony.
"Faced with compelling needs to quickly respond to market demands, we adopted a solution which enables rapid integration amongst current and future enterprise systems at the Bank" says Majed Abdel-Rahim, Global Head of IT at Arab Bank. "We expect high ROI as we cut down the costs and time we used to spend on outdated point to point integration schemes, which helps us in providing our customers with a more integrated view of the bank's products and delivery channels", adds Abdel-Rahim.
The vision for the adopted enterprise application integration (EAI) solution is to allow the Bank to achieve an efficient integration between the core banking application and other disparate (current and new) applications as well as, among the applications themselves. The Bank's integration strategy is now open instead of the previously tightly-coupled strategy, which caused unnecessary efforts by IT specialists and overall maintenance costs. The EAI solution addresses systems scalability whereby the Bank's IT environment is easily extended to satisfy future business requirements. The solution also supports new business and IT initiatives to be undertaken at the bank.
"The Arab Bank is a pioneer in leveraging advanced technology to better serve its customers, specifically the Arab Bank can now add new and reliable services faster than most top banks around the world" says Ennis Rimawi, Estarta Solutions' CEO. "We designed an integration scheme based on latest Microsoft technologies and is consistent with international standards followed in the banking industry".
Estarta Solutions used its experience in implementing IT solutions for the financial services industry and leveraged Microsoft's BizTalk Server and .NET technologies to build a state-of-the-art EAI solution. The deployed solution caters for the Arab Bank's immediate and future needs. "BizTalk Server is ideal for enabling integration between disparate systems across an enterprise. BizTalk and the .NET framework make it possible for the enterprise to build a secure, reliable and highly scalable infrastructure critical for today's extremely competitive business environment" says Microsoft's Country Manager -Jordan, Zeid Shubailat.
