Transguard selected by Lloyds TSB Dubai for cash management services

Transguard, the Emirates Group's security services provider, has signed an agreement with Lloyds TSB Bank, to provide cash collection, processing and cash replenishment to the bank's network of Automated Teller Machines (ATMS) in Dubai.

Contracts were signed at a ceremony held at Lloyds TSB Dubai's head office in Jumeirah. Signing on behalf of Transguard was Dr. Abdulla Al Hashimi, Senior Vice President Emirates' Group Security. Giles Cunningham, Regional Manager of Lloyds TSB Dubai signed the contract on behalf of the Bank.

Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Al Hashimi said: "I am pleased to sign this agreement with Lloyds TSB Bank, a major new customer for Transguard. This contract is an endorsement of the efficiency of the cash processing, cash in transit and ATM services provided by Transguard in Dubai."

Giles Cunningham added: "We are firmly focused on delivering exceptional customer service to all of our customers whether in our branch, at customer service centres or at an ATM. To fulfil this aim we require our suppliers to demonstrate a capability to deliver to our exacting standards.

"Transguard is unquestionably capable of meeting our stringent criteria and I am delighted to enter into this agreement and sign on behalf of Lloyds TSB Dubai."

Transguard will make cash collections from Lloyds TSB's corporate customers and transport the cash using armoured vehicles to the currency management centre at the Dubai Airport Free Zone Logistics Centre. There the cash will be processed according to UAE Central Bank regulations. Cash processing involves authentication of banknotes, sorting as per denomination and packing for circulation across the market.
