Fujitsu Siemens Computers introduces SCENIC C620 to its range of Green PCs
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, May 15 - 2005 at 11:45
- PRESS RELEASE
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has introduced the SCENIC C620, which is the newest and 6th member of the company's professional Green PC product family.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers is the only hardware vendor to develop PC products which respond to the growing demand for environment friendly PCs. The SCENIC Green PC range is designed to be environmentally conscious throughout the lifecycle, from the materials used to the production and recycling processes, while offering professional users the latest office applications for professional PCs.
Sheila Bibi, Marketing & Communications Director, International Sales Region, Fujitsu Siemens Computers said, "We are the pioneers in introducing the concept of Green PC in the market. Fujitsu Siemens Computers recognises the need to minimise the environmental damage caused by the disposal of PCs, which contain hazardous materials like lead and similar toxins. With the SCENIC C620, we have been able to provide a technologically advanced computer with all the latest applications, while complying to international environmental norms and regulations."
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has been developing such PCs since 1988 long before the introduction of industry standards and today, it applies its own strict standards to all products regarding the material used in components and packaging to ensure they meet or exceed current environmental regulations.
"As responsible corporate citizens, Fujitsu Siemens Computers is committed to environmental protection and conservation. Our 'Green systems' have been an integral part of our business strategy for several years now, making up to one-quarter of our desk-bound system sales," added Bibi.
For the first time, the SCENIC C620 Green PC is using the new lead free Intel 915GV Express chipset, which minimizes the lead content of the mainboard. The PC is powerful in a small form factor, with integrated Intel GMA900 graphics, Serial ATA and four DIMM slots, to achieve all demands of a high performance system.
The optional multibay configures the slim optical disk drive to the specific user needs and can also be used in LIFEBOOK E Series or LIFEBOOK S Series for drive sharing. The optional intrusion detection switch in the SCENIC C620, allows the administrator to monitor unauthorized access to the PC.
