Emdad signs deal to supply Hatem and Al-Safeer restaurant chains

Emdad, the catering services arm of top halal food producer CO-OP ISLAMI, today announced it had agreed a tie-up with Al-Khajah Hospitality to supply all the food products for the group's UAE-wide chain of Hatem and Al-Safeer restaurants.

The deal signals further progress for Emdad's policy of rapid expansion in the country's distribution sector by capitalising on the strengths of the premium services it offers to leading supermarkets, restaurants and hotels. Saleh Abdulla Lootah, Chief executive Officer of CO-OP ISLAMI, said: "We are pleased to partner the Hatem group of restaurants, which is a top quality brand serving first class food.

Saleh Lootah confirmed that further partnerships are in the pipeline as Emdad's strategy for expansion unwinds. He forecasted more alliances and partnerships with leading restaurants and institutions in the UAE.

Emdad's services and expertise is backed by more than 20 year experience in offering a wide range of Real Halal products in the local market. These include more than 150 frozen and fresh produce, including, seafood, cheeses, vegetables and meat products such as burgers and sausages.
