Intel kicks off regional channel roadshow themed 'The Digital Surge'

Intel today announced that its Spring 2005 Intel Channel Conference roadshow for resellers and system integrators has kicked off its Middle East tour, commencing in Oman on May 11. Under the theme 'Digital Surge', the conferences will focus on informing and training systems integrators on the company's latest platforms for the desktop, mobility and server segments and updating them on the technology roadmap for 2006.

The conferences will also highlight the evolving user demand and performance milestones and focus on 'The Digital Surge', preparing systems integrators and resellers for the next 'inflection point' as represented by Wi-Max technology.

The roadshow will address systems integrators and resellers in Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, Tunisia, Algiers and Morocco; as part of the company's ongoing drive to remain in close contacts with channel members and help ensure that the latest and greatest technology platforms are available to customers in the region's various markets.

"Last year we signed up over 10,000 new channel members in the Middle East Turkey and Africa region," said Maan Ahmadie, Intel's channel manager in the Middle East Turkey and Africa, "Our focus now is to ensure that we stay in close contact with them to support them in their day to day business and help them to keep on delivering value to their customers through excellence in technology".
