Kochi - fifth Indian destination on KU network

Kuwait Airways Corporation officially announced the launch of its new operation to the south Indian city of Kochi, in the State of Kerala. This city which has been earmarked on the international tourism map is the new destination on KAC route network.

At a press conference in Kochi, KAC Director General, Sheikh Talal Mubarak Al- Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah said that KAC began its services to India in the 1960s and the Indian sectors remain the largest of its network today. Kuwait Airways has 24 flights per week to India with daily operations to Mumbai and Delhi and four flights per week to Thiruvanthapuram and three flights a week to Cochin.

Speaking on the relations between Kuwait Airways and the Indian airliners - Air India and Indian Airlines, the Director General assured the media that Kuwait Airways has enjoyed good relations with the two airliners, over many years. He added that in line with Kuwait Airways code-sharing agreement with Air India, and as an assurance that we are partners in this venture, 'AI' is the code on KU flights to Thiruvanthapuram and Chennai.

Further, KAC Director General observed that a large number of Indian expatriates in Kuwait are benefited by the flights to Thiruvanthapuram and Cochin.
