The event is being held on May 23rd, 2005 and expects participation from over 150 decision makers from key companies in the printing marketplace based in the country. The company is organising the event in association with Creo, a global company with key strengths in imaging, software, and digital printing plate technology and ME Printer, Middle East's print communication magazine.

Xerox will be demonstrating the benefits of its 'Digital Printing Presses' and showcasing the state-of-the-art 'FreeFlow' solutions at the event for the graphic arts industry. Freeflow is a comprehensive platform of products, partners, standards and services that combines to form innovative solutions that enables the users to make workflow better, faster and more responsive to their customers. The fleet of Xerox production printers are designed to meet the challenges of the unique environment and to integrate seamlessly with FreeFlow solutions." said Andrew Hurt, General Manager, Xerox Emirates.

"We are delighted to host this event for the graphic arts industry in the UAE. Xerox Digital Printing Presses and Freeflow solutions allow print service providers across the globe to accelerate their performance and drive new digital applications that expand opportunities and deliver greater revenues and profits. These solutions simply enable the users to accelerate workflow to improve operational efficiencies, enable more jobs, reduce costs and expand their business," added Hurt.

According to Ayman Mattar, Marketing Manager, Xerox Emirates stated that "In partnership with industry-leading prepress professional, Xerox has developed their Freeflow unified offset and digital workflow - a unique workflow which allows print providers to seamlessly integrate Xerox digital printing equipment into their existing workflows. By directing and submitting jobs to a digital press from an offset prepress system, print providers can now expand into new and profitable printing areas leveraged by the unique capabilities of digital printing".

"This results in improved job turnaround, more efficient workflows and increased production options; reduced cost and waste by printing on demand and to the most appropriate printing press; increased product offerings with variable data printing capabilities; expanded opportunities by enabling web-driven job submission and short run digital production adding the value of personalisation," added Mr. Mattar.

The event will feature presentations from Xerox partners, business and technical experts. Professor Dr. George Nubar Simonian, a lecturer in the printing, publishing and packaging department of Helwan University will be one of the speakers presenting ''Printing in the 21st Century''.
