ME Software piracy down

Business Software Alliance reports that software piracy levels in the Mena region dropped only slightly in 2004, with the UAE having the lowest rate of 34%. An International Data Corporation study said that software piracy is a major challenge, with local economies suffering due to loss of jobs. The total loss due to piracy in the region is estimated at $1.2bn.
