- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, May 19 - 2005 at 12:59
- PRESS RELEASE
Computer Associates, one of the world's largest independent management software companies, today announced its sponsorship of the 11th annual GCC e-Government Forum.
CA's vice president of technology services in the Arab countries, Bjarne Rasmussen, will present CA's strategy on securing and managing e-Government infrastructure, themed "Successful Planning for Mission Critical e-Government Applications".
"We are addressing the main challenges facing e-Governments across this region and highlighting the ideal solution to overcome these challenges." said Rasmussen. "For over 28 years, Computer Associates has offered secure management software solutions that create strategic value for government agencies worldwide. In the GCC, CA solutions are supporting government departments with their national information technology plans, including E-government initiatives, as they strive to ease the life of the community and businesses, and realign IT to support department goals - all while helping ensure national security."
Security, infrastructure management, robust applications and cost effectiveness are the main technology challenges e-Government projects face. CA's Enterprise Infrastructure Management (EIM) product strategy is designed with these core tenets in mind to help organizations realize an on-demand IT environment.
CA has laid the foundation for a truly business-centric IT organization by designing products to interact with each other, leveraging common services and developing a central database for all management information. EIM is designed to offer the broadest set of management solutions in the industry, enable unparalleled integration among management software solutions through our Management Database (MDB) and ensure the most open solution set in the industry. CA's solutions also interface with and manage third-party management platforms. And we are committed to supporting open standards.
"CA in the Arab countries is committed to supporting the technology infrastructure of e-Governments across the GCC. By providing solutions to identify and mitigate risk, intelligently manage assets, and collaborate across departments to optimize operational efficiency and address identity and access management concerns, CA helps government meet the increasing needs of citizens." concluded Rasmussen.
