Union National Bank hosts a group of UAE national students from Higher Colleges of Technology

This visit is a manifestation of the continued partnership between Union National Bank and the UAE Higher Colleges of Technology [HCT].

Students were invited by UNB and were given a general induction on the banking sector and financial services where they were addressed by Mr. Ajay Bhuptani, SVP & Head of IFID, Mr. Abdullah Al Rashedi, VP & Manager, Resourcing & Emiratization Dept. Mr. Ravi Mohanty, AVP & Manager, Training and Mr. Ebrahim Jaffer, Senior Training Faculty Officer. The purpose of this visit was to familiarize local nationals with the products and services UNB offers to its customers and the future opportunities UNB can offer them.

The Students visited the Treasury & Investment Division of the Bank and two of the Bank's Branches where they observed Treasury and Banking operations first hand on-site.

This exercise is part of a series of activities conducted by UNB through its role as a leading national organization and a major player in the emiratization process that the bank is aggressively applying through a set of programs like sponsorships of students, summer training, internships, etc.

Mr. Ahmed Al Hosani, AVP & Manager, Emiratization Dept, welcomed the students and handed over mementos to the visiting students and Faculty. Mr. Adrian of HCT thanked the Bank officials for organizing the program and sharing their time and expertise with the students.

The local students expressed their gratitude and happiness to be introduced to the bank which helped them develop a better understanding of the banking and finance industry in the UAE.
