Event management company opens new office

- PRESS RELEASE
Following its launch in September 2004, d'Events, one of Dubai's latest entries into the event management sector, has recently completed the design and installation of their new office on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The move comes on the back of a number of successfully managed events for blue-chip clients including Novell, Visa International, Zenith Optimedia, Kinnarps and Al Tayer Group.
d'Events are looking forward to building on their success to date and aim to become the number one choice for clients by delivering imaginative concepts and reliable event solutions that combine a strategic understanding of the client's marketing requirements with creativity and logistics competences.
"We believe that there is a growing need from corporates to utilize professional event management services to ensure their brand stands out from the crowd," said Lucy d'Abo.
"Nowadays it is not enough just to pay your sponsorship fees, buy your exhibition space or book the hotel ballroom for a gala dinner. With the constant pressure of increased competition, it is critical to effectively manage your presence at an event and to identify creative face-to-face activities that can best communicate your individual brand values and features."
Currently the UAE events industry comprises thousands of conferences, seminars, exhibitions, sporting events and corporate hospitality and looks set to continue with the ongoing development of major industries including real estate, tourism and commerce.
In spite of this growth, according to DCCI and DMC there are merely 80 dedicated events companies registered in Dubai compared to approximately 600 advertising and public relations agencies.
"To date many corporate events are managed by in-house marketing staff or advertising and public relations agencies, however the market is increasingly demanding more creative and sophisticated events that compete on an international scale and this is where specialised event companies add so much value," explained d'Abo.
"With the communications market becoming increasingly saturated, corporate marketing executives need to apply strategic activities to reach their customers. We believe that events need to be treated with the same conceptualization process and strategic development as an advertising campaign or a sales promotion."
In the commercial sector, d'Events specialises in the development of social and sporting events and has extensive experience in sponsorship tier development and sales. Previous projects include the Lifestyles Formula 1 Powerboat Championship and the Kinnarps Cup Polo Tournament.
For its corporate clients, d'Events provides through-the-line communications for events including exhibitions, product launches and corporate hospitality.
"Through imaginative concepts and dependable professionalism, d'Events can take control of all event planning tasks including event conceptualisation, setting goals, managing timelines, selecting event venues and managing budgets allowing the client to remain focused on their own job priorities," d'Abo concluded.
