ME water crisis

The Middle East is facing a water crisis that could lead to political tensions and hamper prosperity, experts said at the World Economic Forum, reported the Jordan Times. Former Jordanian water and irrigation minister, Hazem Nasser, told delegates that a water shortage in the face of a growing Arab population needs to be urgently addressed. Desalination costs have increased recently due to skyrocketing oil prices.
