Enigmafone.com provides GSM telephones with 128 bit and 256 bit encryption. The phones, manufactured in the UK, operate on any GSM network worldwide. From an Enigma handset, a user on any mobile phone network can call any phone in the world in normal call mode. But when calling another ENIGMA handset, no one can tap into the caller's conversation. The phones are totally secure.

'Since the Enigma Cryptographic GSM phones launched 3 years ago, we have seen strong demand for Enigma in several regions- Latin America, Asia, and especially in the Middle East- where security is so important. Our customers from the region have had to visit us in our London offices until now,' said Greg Lee, Sales Representative in MENA.

'We chose Bahrain primarily because of its strong transport and communication links to the world. It is also a traditional and important banking centre in the region, and Enigma telephones are a favourite tool of banks in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Lichtenstein and Cyprus. Most banks give them to their important clients. It's a cost effective way to ensure confidentiality in communication,' he added.

Enigma phones use RSA encryption, a public key encryption system with an algorithm that has been in the public domain for more than 35 years.

Enigma Cryptographic GSM phones operate on all GSM networks in the World. Clients insert their network SIM card of choice into the phone and make the call.

The encryption system is point-to-point. That is, users must telephone another Enigma handset in order to talk in Encryption Mode. Normal, unencrypted calls can be made to anyone.

Enigma is used by government ministers, police forces and corporate executives worldwide for secure voice communication to ensure no one is listening. This is especially important in today's world, when the public networks are just not secure enough for sensitive communication.

'We insist all of our clients use Enigma telephones when they need to speak with us. Our company give them to all of our clients as part of investment management service. Enigma phones give our clients the assurance they require for completely safe voice communication, no matter where in the world they happen to be,' said Olof Edqvist, President, Edmir Investments S.A.

Enigma T301b can be used with enignafone's fixed line encryption box, to allow secure calls from any ISDN fixed land line telephone to any other secure land line or to any Enigma mobile GSM handset. This system gives users complete end to end communications security, on fixed lines or mobile lines, without having to build your own secure network. It is the strongest communications encryption available to the general public in the world.
