Etisalat Business Centres host telecom equipment vendors

These vendors have set up retail stands at Business Centres, where customers can purchase UAELAB-approved telecom equipment with different features.

Mohammed Al Fahim, Etisalat's Executive Vice President for Marketing, said: "With many suppliers of telecom equipment setting up their locations in our Business Centres, customers enjoy the convenience of shopping for type-approved telecom equipment at the places where they conduct business on their telecom connections. This move is in keeping with our policy of utmost customer satisfaction."

"The response from the distributors and vendors of telecom equipment has been phenomenal, and right from the announcement of the opening of Business Centres to their stalls, we have had many suppliers confirming their presence. Customers will shortly find all major brands of telecom equipment at stalls located within Etisalat Business Centres, and can even compare them for the ideal features that they need. Since this will be a competitive environment, the customer will be the one to ultimately benefit", he added.

Vendor stalls will conduct business at all times that the Etisalat Business Centre is open. The products available at these locations would include standard telephones with and without CLIP, keyphone systems, modems and others. All of these would be UAELAB certified, and will be completely compatible with the Etisalat network.

The prominent telecom equipment suppliers that will be present at Etisalat business centres are Al Futtaim Technologies, Siemens, Syscom Emirates, Al Yousuf computer and Alpha Data.

UAELAB is the unit of Etisalat that conducts compatibility testing for all telecom products and certifies them as type-approved. The Lab has seen a whole range of products being imported and submitted for type-approval recently. All units sold through vendor stalls at Etisalat Business Centres have to be type-approved by UAELAB and carry the seal of their compatibility. UAELAB seals are affixed on all type-approved equipment, showing that they are fully compatible with Etisalat's network.
