- PRESS RELEASE
Hafidh Al Busaidy has been appointed by InterContinental Hotels Group, the world's most global hotel company, as general manager of the InterContinental Al Jubail.
The Omani national, who excels at motivating team members and managing business units, relishes the opportunity to manage the unique five-star property that has recently had a boost in technological services.
"Located at the heart of Al Jubail, which is a world-renowned industrial zone and recently voted by the Financial Times as the 'Best City for Investment in the Middle East', the hotel is extremely popular with business travellers. In keeping up-to-date with our clienteles' requirements, we recently installed high-speed Internet access to the hotel and wireless Internet access in the lobby area and function rooms," said Al Busaidy.
In addition to attracting the attention of the business traveller, the InterContinental Al Jubail - located near some of the country's most stunning beaches and most sought after dive spots - is also exceptionally popular with leisure travellers.
The hotel is soon expected to develop its features for visitors across the board when refurbishment works are completed. Currently in the final stages of planning a full refurbishment of the property, the aim is to improve the beach facilities, enhance reservation services and upgrade conference facilities.
Denis Johnson, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, InterContinental Hotels Group Middle East and Africa, said: "We are thrilled to have a seasoned professional such as Hafidh in charge of the hotel while we finalize refurbishment plans. Looking forward, it is going to be a dynamic time for the hotel and we are pleased to have such a committed team member as general manager."
