Samsung organizes free air conditioner checkup in UAE

  • PRESS RELEASE

Samsung Electronics, the global home appliances leader, today stated that its two-week long free air conditioner checkup campaign has proved the superiority of its UTR compressor-based air conditioners to consumers in UAE.

Samsung recently organized a free service camp for consumers to get their air conditioners thoroughly checked before the onset of summer when temperatures rise dramatically in the region.

"Three years ago Samsung conducted a comprehensive study of the Middle East air conditioners market, and observed that none of the available products were capable of dealing with the region's extreme heat," said Mr. Keun Sang Yoo, Director, Home Appliance division of Samsung Gulf Electronics. "Based on our analysis, we subsequently made it a priority to develop the ideal air conditioner for the Middle East. After a year of reliability testing, we introduced UTR compressor-based air conditioner, which is capable of operating in temperatures of 54°C and higher.

"The result of the free checkup was extremely positive and encouraging proving that Samsung's UTR air conditioners were the right choice for the region, as they required minimal service. We registered an unexpected low breakdown rate of 0.5 per cent, which is almost 1/10th of the industry's average," added Mr. Yoo.
