Dubai Internet City pledges support to Samsung Brain Challenge 2005

Dubai Internet City today pledged its support to 'Samsung Brain Challenge 2005,' the first-of-its-kind IT industry-specific quiz program to take place in UAE.

The one-day event, which is sponsored by global technology innovator, Samsung Gulf Electronics, will be held on the 4th of June 2005, at the Dubai Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dubai and is to be hosted by the famed quiz master Derek O' Brien.

"Dubai Internet City is going from strength to strength due to an increasing demand for IT products and services across the region, and in particular the UAE," said Mr. Jamal Abdulsalam, Director of Partner Relations, Dubai Internet City. "We are pleased to partner with 'Samsung Brain Challenge 2005,' as it fits right into the assortment of events DIC initiates and associates with, in order to establish a new benchmark for the IT industry, and foster a spirit of healthy competitions in the IT industry. Quizzes like this will help to build a passion and enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge and create greater interest in the subject," he added.

"We are proud that for the third consecutive time DIC business partners will get a unique opportunity to participate in one of UAE's largest quiz programs, which is also considered the first IT industry-specific show," said Mr. J. H. Park, President, Samsung Gulf Electronics.

Targeted primarily at UAE's IT community, the event, which is in its third successful year, is open for participation to all IT and non-IT companies and will be hosted by the famed quizmaster, Derek O' Brien.

The Samsung Brain Challenge will consist of two rounds comprising the written elimination round for all participating teams and the on stage final round for the top six teams. There will be two participants in each team and the entry fee is AED 350/- per team. The content for this quiz will be simple and cover topics such as sports, entertainment, lifestyle, travel and Information Technology.
