- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Quality Award Share Best Practice Conference will be inaugurated by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), Chairman Emirates Group and the patron of the Dubai Quality Group (DQG) on May 30, 2005 at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Dubai.
Organised jointly by the DQA Secretariat at the Department of Economic Development and the Dubai Quality Group (DQG), the annual conference is an attempt by the winners of the DQA to reinforce the message of quality by promoting business excellence in society.
"The concept of holistic growth is becoming increasingly accepted as companies acknowledge that excellence can only be sustained when it pervades across the entire community," said Essa Kazim, Co-ordinator General Dubai Quality Award. "The Share Best Practice conference encourages winners of the DQA to take on the role of community leaders and lead the movement towards better quality management," he added.
Commenting on the conference, Mr. Abdelqader Obaid Ali, Chairman, DQG said: "The willingness of leading organisations to share their expertise with the rest of the business community is commendable and adequately demonstrates their corporate social responsibility. We aim to further foster this co-operation among Dubai's business community to ensure its continued development," he added.
The day-long event will include presentations of a best practice each by winners of the DQA 2004 in addition to presentations by two international speakers. People interested to attend the event can contact the Dubai Quality Group for registrations.
