U.S. Robotics demonstrates wireless digital lifestyle in the UAE
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, May 30 - 2005 at 12:15
- PRESS RELEASE
U.S. Robotics, the world's leading provider of Internet access and connectivity products, has announced plans for an aggressive promotion of a wireless digital lifestyle in the UAE.
The outlet is designed exclusively for tech savvy users to get to know the wireless experience first-hand, and the associated lifestyle amenities. The technology is positioned to target the upwardly mobile and middle class segment in the UAE and aims to integrate the U.S. Robotics' expanding portfolio of wireless products and solutions into their daily lives.
"The live wireless demonstration at Ibn Battuta Mall gives practical and hands-on experience for people to understand the concept of a wireless lifestyle and show them the advantages of using the technology. Going wireless is the next step for home and small office users in the UAE as it is cost effective, quick, easy to install as well as to expand. Rather than a product showcase, our agenda is to educate people about Wireless Home Networking, while promoting our range of internet access and connectivity products," said Hishamul Hasheel, Technical Sales Manager, Middle East and North Africa, U.S Robotics.
Hasheel added, "Wireless technology has helped simplify networking by enabling multiple computer users to simultaneously share resources such as broadband Internet, network printers, data files and multimedia in a home or business without additional intrusive wiring. Moreover, wireless is becoming increasingly affordable, with the prices having dropped sharply over the last couple of years."
Nilesh Khalkho, Operations Manager, Sharaf DG, said "There is a huge demand for wireless networking in the UAE as the country has traditionally been a market with high uptake in new technologies. In case of wireless networking the trend is exactly the same. Mobility is the key word for the user, be it at home or office and the lifestyle solutions on display at our outlet in Ibn Battuta Mall offers just that."
Commenting on the showcasing at the Ibn Battuta Mall, Nabil Sheikh, Channel Sales, U.S. Robotics, Middle East and North Africa, said, "Ibn Battuta Mall is strategically located in close proximity to Abu Dhabi and the land mark real estate developments which are taking shape around the new Dubai area. Most of the new properties and homes being constructed near the mall are going to be wireless enabled and serve the residential needs of a very sophisticated populace. U.S. Robotics is positioning our wireless technologies to such a user profile."
