Dubai Sports City awards advanced grading works contract to Wade Adams Contracting (LLC)

Dubai Sports City (DSC), the world's first integrated purpose-built sports city, today announced that Wade Adams Contracting (LLC) has been awarded the contract for the advanced grading works of the 50 million sq ft site area, with work to begin immediately.
At a ceremony to mark the signing of the contract, Khalid Al Zarooni, President of Dubai Sports City said: "We are delighted to award this contract to Wade Adams Contracting (LLC). This is a company with an excellent track-record having worked on a number of prestigious development projects in and around the Middle East. Dubai Sports City is an ambitious project and it is imperative that we work with the best contractors from the start in order to ensure a strong foundation for construction."
On signing the contract, Kyriakos P. Antzoulis, General Manager, Wade Adams Contracting (LLC), said: "Wade Adams is committed to excellence and client satisfaction with quality, efficiency and safety at the core of our company philosophy. Dubai Sports City is one of the most exciting projects in the world today and we are extremely proud to have been awarded this contract and given the opportunity to work together with the DSC team."
Dubai Sports City, the cornerstone project of DubaiLand, is a unique project that spans 50 million sq ft of world-class sporting facilities, four state-of-the art stadia, sports academies, including a Manchester United soccer school and the worlds first International Cricket Council global cricket academy, residential and commercial real estate, leisure facilities, hotels, numerous entertainment outlets, international schools, a medical center and a shopping mall which will house the largest dedicated sports shopping area in the region. The total development cost will be US$. 2 billion.
The first phase of Dubai Sports City which includes , the stadia , Sports academies, Victory Heights "Golf residential development", international schools and shopping mall is set for completion by the end of 2007.
