Graphic arts industry converges at Xerox event

Xerox Emirates conducted 'Performance Accelerate' event for the graphic arts professionals in the UAE.

This event saw participation from over 150 decision makers from key companies in the printing marketplace based in the country. The company organised the event in association with Creo, a global company with key strengths in imaging, software, and digital printing plate technology and ME Printer, Middle East's print communication magazine.

The event featured presentations from Xerox partners, business and technical experts. Professor Dr. George Nubar Simonian, a lecturer in the printing, publishing and packaging department of Helwan University spoke on ''Printing in the 21st Century''. Ben Gale, General Manager for Sales & Marketing of Xerox Distributor Operations also spoke about ''Xerox and the New Business of Printing''. Experts from Creo Europe also presented ''Profiting with Digital Print''.

'Xerox demonstrated the benefits of its 'Digital Printing Presses' and showcased the state-of-the-art 'FreeFlow' solutions at the event for the graphic arts industry. Freeflow is a comprehensive platform of products, partners, standards and services that combines to form innovative solutions that enables the users to make workflow better, faster and more responsive to their customers. The fleet of Xerox production printers are designed to meet the challenges of the unique environment and to integrate seamlessly with FreeFlow solutions,' said Andrew Hurt, General Manager, Xerox Emirates.

According to Ayman Mattar, Marketing Manager, Xerox Emirates stated that 'In partnership with industry-leading prepress professional, Xerox has developed their Freeflow unified offset and digital workflow - a unique workflow which allows print providers to seamlessly integrate Xerox digital printing equipment into their existing workflows. By directing and submitting jobs to a digital press from an offset prepress system, print providers can now expand into new and profitable printing areas leveraged by the unique capabilities of digital printing'.
