The two Bahrain-based companies partnered to offer customers a comprehensive range of products in accordance with Islamic Sharia'h principles.

The conference, with saw over 200 delegates from 24 countries attend, brought together investors, fund managers and key industry players to identify growth opportunities in the multi-billion dollar Islamic investment sector. The event featured education sessions, networking opportunities and an exhibition. Ziyad Arekat, General Manager, Solidarity - Asset Management, and Jamal A. Tartir, Group Head - Private Banking, Shamil Bank featured as speakers during the conference.

"Our support for this prestigious event highlights the importance of providing a forum for industry leaders and financial professionals to convene and discuss the future of Islamic finance, including Takaful. We are proud to help enforce the need for leading Islamic institutions to co-ordinate their efforts to further advance this rapidly growing sector locally and internationally," said Arekat.

WIFC reflected the global nature and diversity of the Islamic investment funds industry and included speakers and participants from the world's major Islamic and conventional financial centres.

"The conference served as a meaningful forum for both Islamic institutions, and Bahrain, as the Kingdom cements its position as the Middle East's financial services hub. Our platinum sponsorship and our partnership with Solidarity demonstrate our collective commitment to the industry as well as Islamic principles," said Tartir.

"Takaful products, in particular, are currently in demand. By partnering with Solidarity, Shamil Bank further solidified its position as an industry leader by increasing the range of services offered to our customers to include Shari'ah compliant Family Takaful," he added.
