Visiting Professor to give free lecture on Corporate Governance at The British University in Dubai (BUiD)

As the private sector takes on an even more significant role in the UAE, a culture of corporate governance and enhanced financial transparency is vital to ensure investor confidence, greater financial security and continuing growth.
On the 31st May, Rodney Turner, Professor of Project Management at the Lille Graduate School of Management will give a free lecture titled, Corporate Governance in Project Based Organisations. The lecture will be held at BUiD's Knowledge Village Campus (Building 17) at 6pm.
Commenting on the upcoming lecture Professor Turner said, "During the lecture I will present a working definition of project governance and how companies can apply it within the organization, as a project sponsor or for a project. Through my lecture I will demonstrate how corporate governance can significantly improve an organisation's efficiency, effectiveness and agility at these three levels."
Mr. Turner, a world renowned expert and lecturer in the field of Project Management, is also the Chief Executive of EuroProjex: the European Centre for Project Excellence, a network of trainers and consultants in project management. He is author of several key industry books including The International Journal of Project Management. In addition, he has held key postings as the President and Chairman of the International Project Management Association and Chairman of the UK's Association for Project Management.
Professor Turner's lecture is the latest in the ongoing series of open lectures organised and sponsored by BUiD. The public are welcome to attend these lectures free of charge to learn more about topics of interest, as well as experience what BUiD has to offer.

About The British University in DubaiThe British University in Dubai (BUiD) is the Middle East's first postgraduate, research-based university. In addition to providing scholarships, Atkins has also funded a professorship in the new institute of the Built Environment which has been established in partnership with the University of Cardiff, UK.
