"AHL" agreement between Fastlink and Jawwal
- Jordan: Tuesday, May 31 - 2005 at 15:36
- PRESS RELEASE
Fastlink and the Palestinian mobile operator Jawwal have introduced a 20% discount on roaming services for both companies' customers, affecting outgoing and incoming calls, as well as the SMS service.
The offer, which continues until the end of 2005, allows Fastlink customers who subscribe to Jawwal roaming to enjoy 20% reduction on all calls as well as SMSs, and provides the Palestinian operator's customers the same favorable treatment when they use Fastlink roaming services.
Fastlink and Jawwal had announced an exclusive agreement, which was signed between the two sides earlier this month under the slogan "AHL" with the aim of reducing call rates for subscribers on both sides.
Fastlink Chief Marketing Officr, Bashar Arafeh, said the new offer is the first "surprise" to customers in Jordan and Palestine, adding that other services and packages will be launched over the course of the year in a show of commitment to customers and as a reflection of the strong cooperation that now exists between the two companies and the two countries.
Arafeh added that the benefits of cooperation between Fastlink and Jawwal extend beyond business and trade to reach the exchange of expertise and knowledge. He said the future would see further manifestations of Fastlink's plans and programs, "which will be felt by individuals and corporations not only in Jordanian, but on the Arab and International levels."
Fastlink, a member of the MTC Group, which provides services in 18 countries in the Middle East and Africa, operates the largest and most advanced mobile network in the Kingdom. The Company has expanded its customer's base in a record time, reaching today over 1.35 million users, also relying on a vast network of dealers.
Fastlink has roaming agreements with 210 operators in 129 countries across six continents. The Company was the first to introduce Data International Roaming in the Middle East.
