AUST Network's Faculty of Communication organizes a symposium on the importance of information in the educational process

"It is very important for the educational institutions to have very sophisticated information flow tools to help its students and staff to catch first hand information which will help in the entire educational process," said Osama Salman, Vice President, Media, Information and PR Affairs, AUST Network.

Speaking in the inaugural session of a symposium organized by the Faculty of Media and Information, Osama, said " It is significantly crucial for the educational institutions to gear up efforts to have a rich and sophisticated data in various subjects and science field to help its students, staff and management to have a first hand information."

He added that the AUST Network is working hard towards sophisticating its data in accordance to the rapid changes taking place in terms of information.

Dr Abdul Aali Zaiati, Dean of Media and Information Faculty, said, " Latest information data owned by educational institutions is considered tube an asset which will assist the institution to have a strong base for researches. It is essential to Information Research Center to help all students and teaching staff to capitalize from these information. He said," UAE has become a media center which will be a focus for many information researchers.

Dr Nasser Aldin Al Ayaddi, Diplomatic Center in Abu Dhabi said, "The flow of information through the sophisticate media of internet and other vehicles has made a lot of positive impact on the entire media processes.

He said the electronic media is a great stride forward. The written media will continue to survive leveraging from the advanced Internet technology.

Dr Sadek Rabeh, UAE university, said, " The information technology and the fast flow of information has a great social and economical influence in the people's life. Dr Jassim Jaber, said, " we have to utilize both electronic and written media."
