Sharjah City CentreSharjah City Centre, located in the heart of Dubai's neighbouring emirate of Sharjah, was opened in September 2001. The two storey mall covers an area of 39,000 square metres of retail space and is anchored by a Carrefour hypermarket and 100 local and international retails outlets. Other facilities include a dedicated children's play area -Magic Planet, along with 19 fast food outlets and restaurants, and parking for 1300 cars.
The Centre unveiled phase one of its extensive expansion plan in early 2003, which housed seven new shops, and relocated a further four existing stores. Phase two, completed in June 2004, called for the opening of an entire new ground floor with twelve new stores. It completed its expansion plan by launching the third and final phase in January 2005.
