Welcare World Health Systems signs MOU's with Al Balushi

Welcare World Health Systems, the healthcare management firm of the Dubai-based Varkey Group signed two MOU's with Ahmad Bin Suwaidan Al Balushi, Chairman of Al Balushi LLC and former Minister of Telecommunications in Oman.

The MOU's would pave the way for a long-term partnership between the two organizations. Under these MOUs, Welcare World would bring to Oman its expertise and experience in the healthcare field. It would also avail of healthcare development and management opportunities in both private and public sectors in Oman through collaboration with Al Balushi LLC.

One of the two-signed MOUs, entails establishing and operating an ambulatory healthcare center in Muscat by the end of 2005 to be upgraded to a full fledged hospital operation by 2006.

Highlighting the initiative, Mr. Vidur Kaushik-CEO of Welcare World Health Systems said, " The medical center is intended to provide quality health services at affordable rates. It shall embrace the holistic approach to care in the most efficient and cost effective manner and shall particularly target the women and children segments of the population".
