"The Lumina Royale is a very impressive vehicle, offering the pace of a high output V8 engine and the grace of a two-tone leather interior," said Chris Probert, Marketing Manager for Chevrolet large cars. "It's the sporty counterpart to the popular Caprice Royale - the ultimate in style and refinement. Boasting a host of new features and luxury appointments, the Lumina Royale is sure to take the Middle East by storm."

On the outside, the Lumina Royale offers 17" alloy wheels, a sporty body kit for on-road good-looks and projector headlamps and fog lamps for better visibility and safety. The high-output 5.7 litre Generation III V8 engine with 4-speed automatic transmission packs a powerful 330hp, and a special version of the acclaimed Control-Link suspension improves roadholding and handling, and whilst maintaining great levels of comfort.

Stepping inside the Lumina Royale, Middle East customers will be impressed with the spacious two-tone leather interior, sport-formed performance steering wheel, side airbags for increased driver and passenger safety and driver memory seats and mirrors for greater comfort and convenience.

Legendary Lumina line-up

Led by the Royale, the entire 2006 Lumina line-up brings Middle East customers the next generation in legendary Lumina performance, intelligent technology, value for money, comfort and convenience.

The 2006 Lumina LTZ, SS and Royale all feature intelligent Rear Park Assist technology as standard. Sensors in the rear fascia measure the distance and guide the driver, via audio signals, into and out of tight parking spots - parking will never be the same again!

The Chevrolet Lumina line-up for 2006 also packs an impressive array of features. Automatic headlamps sense the amount of light surrounding the vehicle and automatically switch headlamps on or off as required. These can also be programmed to stay on for a specified time improving safety and visibility when walking away from the Lumina.

The 2006 Lumina will delight Middle East customers with its convenient cruise control, "distance to empty" reminder system, power adjustable seats, CD player and steering wheel stereo remotes. For the true individual, optional extras such as a power sunroof and an integrated roof-mounted DVD player with headphones and FM modulation allow further differentiation and in-car enjoyment

Lumina has a well-deserved reputation as offering 'driver's car' performance. The high performance 3.6 litre Alloytec V6 engine, available on LS, S and LTZ models, packs a powerful punch, whilst remaining super responsive and fuel-efficient.

"The Chevrolet Lumina range is the leader in its class because people appreciate its stylish looks, its high-performance sporting pedigree, and its exceptional value for money," said Probert. "The arrival of the Royale takes the essence of Lumina and adds even more pace with plenty of grace."
