An impressive accomplishment, MTC-Vodafone's one million prepaid customers in Kuwait confirms its position as the leading mobile telecommunications operator in the country. To share the milestone with its valued customers, MTC-Vodafone is featuring several exciting promotions and innovative new services.

New promotions and services launched to celebrate reaching one million eeZee customers started with 10/10 promotion, which allows customers to purchase a new prepaid line for KD 10 and receive KD 10 in free call credit - it's just that eeZee. The promotion is valid until June 30th, and is available in MTC branches and distributors. The 10/10 promotion will be followed by new service and several promotions.

Mr. Shafeeq S. Omar, Indirect Sales Manager for MTC-Vodafone (Kuwait) commented, 'We are thrilled about reaching the 1 million customer mark with eeZee prepaid services. This achievement is evidence that customers are selecting MTC-Vodafone for its products, services and pricing.' He continued, 'As our way of giving back to our loyal customers, we are offering the exciting 10/10 promotion, to celebrate reaching 1 million eeZee customers.'

MTC-Vodafone continues to set the pace for itself and its nearest competitors, while maintaining its focus on delivering the best in customer service and satisfaction. Perfect examples of this long term strategy are MTC-Vodafone's inclusion of not only the one millionth customer, but also one of the initial prepaid customers - from before the eeZee service was formally launched in March 1999 - in the one million eeZee customer celebrations. Always looking ahead to the future, while keeping an eye to the past gives MTC-Vodafone a unique perspective and approach towards customer service that places it a step above its competitors.

MTC-Vodafone also introduced a new lifecycle for prepaid phone lines, delivering maximum user-friendliness and benefit to eeZee customers. Basically, when a customer has an active line that runs out of credit, the new lifecycle enables the line to stay active for one week of receiving calls from any other GSM lines and SMS messages. Following the initial seven-day period is a 60-day recharge phase, where customers can still receive SMS messages. Lastly there is a de-active period of 30-days when no services are available for customers. The number is recycled if it remains unused over a three-month period.

In addition to the new promotions and services listed above, eeZee customers can also access the following MTC-Vodafone features on their prepaid lines: MissU, MMS, GPRS, Menu, MobileTV, Games. Since its inception in March 1999, the eeZee prepaid service has offered Kuwait customers numerous benefits, including: the longest valid subscription period of local prepaid services, enabling users to sustain accounts for up to five years; cumulative extensions of the period of the account each time the eeZee card is recharged; free caller ID since 2000; and SMS online recharge for prepaid users - a first in the Middle East in 2002.
