Epson launches its AcuLaser series of convertible laser printers that allows users to upgrade from mono to colour

The innovative range of printers was launched at a press conference held in Dubai.

The new mono laser printers can function as a pure mono printer for every day print jobs. A unique print engine allows users to upgrade to colour when the need arises, allowing them to print high quality documents by just adding colour toner cartridges. Further, when users run out of colour toner, they can still continue to print in black and white. Epson AcuLaser 2600N and the Epson AcuLaser C2600N provide users with a 'future proof' solution that eliminates the need to buy a colour laser printer later.

The Epson AcuLaser 2600 Series boasts many features to make it the laser printer of choice for demanding users. The Epson AcuLaser 2600 Series can print an impressive 30ppm, and prints the first page out in just over 9 seconds in black and white - faster than many monochrome only laser printers. The printer allows users to print in colour immediately after adding colour toners. The four-cycle print engine produces excellent prints every time, so there are no traces of black toner on colour prints or vice-versa.

Epson also launched the AcuLaser CX11NF and AcuLaser CX11N, its new range of Multi Function Printers (MFPs) for the business market, which are amongst the first colour MFPs on the market and provide a set of features to make them the ideal MFP series for small offices and workgroups.

The AcuLaser CX11NF and AcuLaser CX11N are easy to use and administer. Featuring a large back-lit LCD control panel, users can check on the current status, including toner consumption, making the series ideal for small offices with an outsourced IT department. For additional flexibility in small spaces, the series also offers paper output that is accessible from all sides. These printers offer multiple copy and printing speeds of 25ppm in mono and 5ppm in colour.

Epson is providing free software with the MFP series, allowing business users to create professional colour documents more easily and manage scanned files and photos. A business card scanning utility is also bundled, along with character recognition software and filing utilities, making this an extremely useful investment for consumers.
