- PRESS RELEASE
The latest development in the world of Saudi football is the agreement reached between Pepsi Cola Saudi Arabia and the Saudi National Football Federation, making Pepsi the proud sponsors of the Saudi team.
Pepsi has a long and illustrious history with football, with its various football inspired initiatives and its extensive roster of international football stars including David Beckham, Rivaldo, Veron and Roberto Carlos. In its efforts at contributing to Saudi football, Pepsi is keen on creating and implementing ventures that incorporate football as well as having Saudi heroes, Hassan Al Yami and Sami Al Jaber, as part of their roster of stars. As an extension of these efforts, the agreement for the proud sponsorship of the Saudi team comes as a natural part of the evolution of Pepsi and football in the Kingdom.
The Federation, by far one of the most respected organizations in Saudi Arabia as well as representing the dreams of much of the Saudi football-loving youth, is delighted about the agreement. Saeed Jaman Al Ghamdi, General Secretary of the Saudi Youth Federation said, " Pepsi has proven itself to be an active member in the world of Saudi sports and this latest association is one that we hope to eventually build upon."
Initially, the status for sponsorship will remain in a limited scope to be expanded with time. Khaled Jadallah, Marketing Director for Pepsi Cola elaborated, saying, " Our plans concerning the Federation include several football programs to be initiated sometime in the near future. It brings us immense pleasure to be able to serve the community and the team with this latest development, and we hope to deliver the best programs possible."
