- PRESS RELEASE
Diners Club International has invited residents of the UAE to 'join their club', with the launch of the UAE's first Diners Club credit card, packed with a world of benefits including access to the Business Class Lounge of Dubai International Airport and a host of unique and convenient concierge services.
The very first Diners Club credit card in the UAE, all new credit card holders will be given unlimited access to the Business Class Lounge of Dubai International Airport during departure and transit, where travellers can relax away from the bustle of the airport.
A complimentary product to the popular Diners Club charge card, the new credit card comes with a range of concierge services, which can be provided at a nominal cost. Delivery of cinema tickets, car registration, visa renewal and flower delivery are just some of the concierge services on offer for a small fee. The service also entitles cardholders to a host of free services including restaurant recommendations and reservations, occasion reminders and happenings in town.
Another feature of the Diners Club credit card is the club rewards scheme. Every transaction paid for on the credit card will reward the card holder with points which can be redeemed for free flights, hotel stays and gift vouchers for venues all over the world.
The Diners Club credit card offers payment flexibility, with a minimum payment of just 5% of the outstanding balance each month. Available to anyone earning over 4000dhs per month. With a monthly rate of just 1.75%, Diners Club is confident that this product is competitive, accessible and prestigious at the same time.
Louis A Scotto, Chairman of Diners Club International (UAE) said, "This is the first time that Diners Club International has launched a credit card in the UAE, having been widely recognised for charge cards in the past. The Diners Club card has always been a status symbol, generally used by cardholders in the high earnings bracket. With the new credit card, we are ensuring that many more people can 'join the club' and enjoy the rewards given to Diners Club members.
"There are many credit cards on the market but we believe that none feature as many benefits and services as the Diners Club International credit card, and we look forward to a positive reaction in the UAE market," added Scotto.
The Diners Club credit card offers a host of local benefits in addition to an international network of services and facilities. As well as instant purchases of goods and services, cash advance at over 432,000 ATMs worldwide, Diners Club offers balance transfer facility from other credit cards at a low rate of interest (1% per month) for the first three months.
Exclusive services also on offer to card holders include a dedicated travel agency, global calling card, guaranteed hotel reservations, preferential rates for Hertz Rent-a-Car and up to 55 days interest free.
