Center Stage Management, one of the leading events management companies in the UAE and the creators of the Dubai Desert Rock Festival (DDRF) announced the launch of its design competition for the logo of DDRF 2006.

  • PRESS RELEASE

Entry to the competition is free and will be open to all creative and talented individuals in the UAE. Concept design entries must be original and must incorporate a 'fire' element and embody 'rock music' as a basic requirement. The competition closes on the 22nd July 2005.

Exciting prizes await winners to the competition, plus the opportunity to meet with the big international bands playing at DDRF 2006.

In its third year, DDRF 2006 is seen to become the largest rock event Dubai has ever witnessed. The brand which was launched in the UAE in April 2004 has evolved into a one-of-a-kind music festival for the growing rock music market in Dubai.

While DDR was born from a focus on bringing rock music to an otherwise under-serviced segment of the regional audience, the future map of the concept is one which includes all musical genres to captivate people from a variety of walks of life and nationalities.

Desert Rock 2006 and beyond promises to be of larger proportions and eventually to include multiple stages, larger cross-sections of music, and more non-musical entertainment. DDR will be the music festival for the region.

'Desert Rock is still in its infancy,' comments Jackie Wartanian, Managing Director for CSM. 'We have just begun to show the regional audience what the DDR Festival is all about. Our team has great vision for the future with the aim to put Dubai on the world music festival map. The logo competition is a step forward to achieving our objective of involving the Dubai audience in making DDRF a global brand'
