The event, which will be held from 18 to 21 September at the JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai, is the most comprehensive and dedicated event of its kind in the region, providing a much-needed platform for HR professionals to challenge, debate and discuss the issues and developments affecting international and regional HR practice today and in the future.

This year will see world acclaimed management guru Tom Peters return to challenge business leaders to 'Re-imagine! The Power Of People'. The event will also feature, for the first time, two HR Excellence Awards honouring the 'Aspiring HR Professional' and 'Outstanding Contribution To HR' for Human Resource practitioners in the Middle East.

Commenting on this year's show, Jackie Wilks, Conference Director, IIR Middle East said, "We received outstanding response to last year's event with over 170 HR professionals attending. The HR Summit filled a real need among regional HR professionals to address global and regional issues and share industry best practices. This year will take the cause further by discussing and creating a knowledge pool on the current challenges faced by the HR profession, making it the must-attend HR event for the region."

"The Middle East's multi-cultural and mixed-skill work force in rapidly evolving industries, represent a unique HR challenge. The Summit's experienced speakers will present case studies from leading local, regional and international blue-chip companies to help shed light on these issues as well as discuss the practices necessary to achieve mandatory nationalization initiatives by winning the war for talent," she continued.

Speakers at the Summit include well-known practitioners, consultants, commentators and academics from across the Middle East, the UK, Europe, the Far East and Australia.

The comprehensive event will offer participants presentations from more than 50 expert international and regional HR practitioners, over 30 information packed sessions, three streamed sessions to choose from and six parallel round table trouble-shooting sessions plus three intensive and highly informative post-summit workshops, social and networking events and the HR Excellence Awards. Running parallel to the summit is an exhibition featuring services and products from regional and international HR service providers.

The Middle East HR Summit 2005 is supported by Tanmia, Arabian Society of HR Management, Dubai Human Resource Forum and Basharia, the Abu Dhabi Human Resources Group. Platinum and Silver sponsors consecutively are Saudi Development and Training (SDT), Watson Wyatt Worldwide and Universitas 21 Global.
