- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, June 15 - 2005 at 16:33
- PRESS RELEASE
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is pleased to announce its role as the main sponsor of Al Diar Summer promotion organised by Abu Dhabi National Hotels and the Al Diar Hotel Group.
"We are very pleased to once again participate in Al Diar Summer promotion and look forward to building on the success of last year's promotion," said Mr. Raymond Korban, Etihad Airways General Manager for the UAE and Oman. "Promotions such as this are an ideal opportunity for us to partner with the tourism industry and showcase not only Abu Dhabi as a year round leisure destination, but also as a gateway for travel between East and West. We look forward to welcoming the winners on board and providing them with a unique Etihad experience that goes far beyond travel."
As Etihad Airways goes from strength to strength, the airline has been pursuing an ambitious expansion plan and now serves 17 key destinations worldwide. The airline is also doubling in size, both in terms of increased frequency and exciting new routes. Its development in a short span of time proves the airline has the determination, strength and enthusiasm to build an elite, international airline and sustain its growth momentum.

Notes and media contacts
Etihad Airways, although a new arrival, now flies to 17 destinations in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. The growing network now serves Amman, Bahrain, Bangkok, Beirut, Cairo, Colombo, Damascus, Dammam, Frankfurt, Geneva, Karachi, London (Heathrow), London (Gatwick), Mumbai, Munich, New Delhi and Riyadh. In addition to Etihad's rapidly expanding international routes, the airline has also created Etihad Holidays in record time. Launched in May 2004, Etihad Holidays offers an array of over 170 hotels in more than 35 exciting holiday destinations in 14 countries - from vibrant bustling cities and picturesque, romantic beach resorts to cultural breaks and world renowned hotels.
Etihad's focus is on doing things differently - reinventing the way an airline works, with the emphasis very much on creating new standards in hospitality. Etihad refers to passengers as 'guests' and has three 'guest zones' - Diamond, Pearl and Coral - rather than classes. Each zone provides a premium service, with quality and undivided attention emphasized.
