Johnson & Johnson decides to base regional headquarter at Dubai Healthcare City

Global healthcare products and services major, Johnson & Johnson, has decided to move its regional headquarters to Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), it was announced here today.
The Johnson & Johnson Training and Simulation Centre will be established in partnership with the Centre for Healthcare Planning and Quality (CPQ) to provide accredited programmes. CPQ has been jointly set up by Dubai Healthcare City and the world's leading medical education provider, Harvard Medical International (HMI).
The world's leading comprehensive and broad-based manufacturer of healthcare products and provider of related services, Johnson & Johnson, will access the facilities and assistance of the CPQ to prepare internationally accredited educational programmes, especially crafted for the region. From its base at Dubai Healthcare City, the multinational will deploy consumer-oriented educational programmes.
Fransois Jenout, Regional Manager of Johnson & Johnson said, "We are pleased to announce that construction work on our regional headquarters has started. There is no doubt that the infrastructure available at the Dubai Healthcare City and the international standards for quality that it follows, will surely help in accelerating our operations in the region.
"Operating from DHCC, we will not only provide medical products and services, but we will join efforts with DHCC to develop the medical education sector and provide good medical programmes for physicians and patients. The company also plans to do medical research to meet the needs of patients in the UAE and the region in general," he added.
Jeanot said that: "Establishing such a well-developed complex that houses some of the world's best medical institutions is a step forward in the development of the healthcare sector. We trust that moving to DHCC will boost our work and help strengthen our ties with many international healthcare experts and providers in the DHCC.
"The DHCC is the ideal place for us as it is considered a leading centre for healthcare services in the region, dedicated to providing state-of-the-art services and facilities," he added.
Unrivslled facility
Saeed Al Muntafiq, Chairman of Dubai Healthcare City, stated: "We are very glad to welcome Johnson & Johnson, a globally renowned leader on medical products and services. It is our ambition and intention to create a facility at DHCC that is unrivalled anywhere else in the region and even in the world. And, such a facility can only be created with partners who themselves are the best in the world in their fields.

Johnson & Johnson will utilise its location at the Dubai Healthcare City as a central services unit that will cover and serve the entire Middle East.
