CA releases powerful Anti-Spam security solution for Arab businesses
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, June 18 - 2005 at 13:01
- PRESS RELEASE
Computer Associates (CA), one of the world's largest independent software companies, today announced the availability of its eTrust Anti-Spam; a powerful, easy-to-use anti-spam and fraud detection solution aimed at providing enterprise level protection to small and medium businesses (SMB) to prevent unwanted spam.
CA's eTrust Anti-Spam is available at CA authorized dealers across all Arab countries and can also be downloaded directly from CA by logging on to: www.ca.com/arabworld .
"As the enterprise management expert, CA is able to draw on 28 years of expertise in helping global organizations to protect their networked environments, delivering enterprise-level spam & fraud protection to small and medium business as well as home users in the region," said Ned Jaroudi, regional marketing director at Computer Associates. "Through CA's eTrust Anti-Spam, regional SMBs and home users can protect their networked environments while preventing unwanted, unsolicited spam that reduces productivity and in some cases, deceive users into sharing sensitive personal information with unknown and potentially malicious infiltrators."
eTrust Anti-Spam solves many of the challenges of spam and fraudulent emails by providing a powerful, proactive solution that blocks unwanted, unsolicited emails. eTrust Anti-Spam automatically builds and manages an approved list of senders, allowing users to view and use email effortlessly.
Additionally, CA's eTrust Anti-Spam solution prevents "phishing" - a technique whereby criminals use spoofed email from well-known brands or hijack legitimate Web pages to dupe recipients into providing personal information such as social security numbers or credit card information - remains prevalent.
"According to a recent IDC report, spam messages sent daily worldwide have jumped from seven billion in 2002 to 23 billion in 2004, and that Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and anti-spam companies report that spam currently represents 50-95 percent of all inbound Internet email messages. CA's eTrust Anti-Spam is designed to help SMBs and individual users in the Arab world to protect themselves and their PCs from this growing security threat," added Jaroudi.
