Marconi Middle East LLC completed a series of roadshows highlighting the importance of the next-generation network (NGN).
The roadshows discussed Marconi's complete NGN portfolio and covered the Access, Optical, SoftSwitch and Radio product families. The workshops, which were conducted by senior Marconi executives Asia-Pacific VP and Chief Technology Officer Devid Gubiani and Head of Network & System Planning Frank Hampe, stressed the importance of NGN to both carriers and enterprises.
"Marconi is well positioned to assist customers with their NGN network transformation projects due to the breadth of products it offers within its portfolio," said Andrew Furner, managing director of Marconi's Middle East business. "Our world-class services capabilities compliment our NGN product offering and deliver real value into our customers' networks."
At the roadshows, Marconi highlighted that operators are struggling to sustain their infrastructures and must transform their networks to reduce costs and capture revenue.
