A design-focused product development programme, Gold Expressions is about creating and launching new gold jewellery designs and trends to expand global consumer demand for gold jewellery.

The Gold Expressions 2005 grand launch in the Middle East will be held on the 25th of June via a press conference followed by 'Buyer-Seller Meet' from 1pm till 10pm at the Madinat Jumeirah. And the next day 26th June at 8pm there will be a Gala Night which will feature a fashion show displaying the most amazing jewellery pieces.

'This year, there are sixty-nine participating goldsmiths who created stunning collections of gold jewellery in an effort to help elevate the jewellery design around the globe including the Middle East. Dubai, specifically has become the second largest importer to Italian jewellery after the USA. The Gold Expressions jewellery pieces are all original, yet marketable. We are confident that with the new gold jewellery forms, lines and trends, we will be attracting the international press and buyer,' said Mr. Moaz Barakat, Managing Director of the World Gold Council.

Not only beautiful and elegant, the Gold Expressions pieces are also a reflection of the latest socio-cultural preferences as they were projected according to research on the core gold-buying consumers in each of the main gold markets and their motivation for purchasing gold jewellery.

The collections are very relevant to the needs and emotions of these clearly identified target consumers. The designs produced for Gold Expressions 2005 demonstrate gold's ability to convey powerful emotions and speak to us at a profound level. They also exemplify World Gold Council's continued commitment to research-based gold jewellery design and product development.

Gold Expressions, brought to the Middle East by World Gold Council, is a testimony to the supreme creative excellence of Italian goldsmiths and to gold's versatility and ability to communicate a wide spectrum of emotions.
