LG launches series of trendy music mobile phones

Mobile phones of youth do not ring so much as it sings, and teenagers are spending more on mobile phones every year.
"Youth drive the mobile phone revolution - it is demand from young people that helps mobiles overtake fixed line telephony in the region. The biggest problem any potential mobile phone user faces is, surprisingly, choice. Gone are the days where phones the size of a brick ruled. Today, mobile phone makers have successfully combined technology and lifestyle needs in one tiny gadget. In mobile technologies, music is an area that is developing very quickly, and very successfully. This is something LG has tried to capitalise on with the T5100, C3400 & G1800," said Simon Kim, Senior Telecommunication Manager, LG Electronics Jeddah.

It complements our exciting GSM range, which appeals to the higher-end market. LG G1800 MP3 Player to compose your own melody of your taste through the Melody composer with its ultra slim & smart design," he added.

We are targeting sales of US $ 300 million in handsets in the Middle East and Africa region this year; globally we expect to register a 50 percent growth to seize the No. 3 spot in handsets in two years. Within five years, LG wants half of its sales to come from handsets, up from 28 per cent in 2004," said Simon.
It's worth mentioning, LG Electronics' LG-A7150 handset was named Most Fashionable Mobile Phone at the 'Asian Mobile News Awards 2005, In addition, in the GSM mobile segment, LG has achieved 8.9 percent growth last year compared to 2003. LG is the world's fourth largest mobile handset manufacturer, with a seven per cent global market share and total unit sales in 2004 of 44 million.
