Alhosn announces advanced safety technology
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, June 26 - 2005 at 13:40
- PRESS RELEASE
Alhosn University, Abu Dhabi's new premier university, is creating a facility not only of education excellence but of paramount safety and security for students and staff using the latest technology from Midtec.
One such advanced system is an innovative time attendance system that maintains information of students arriving and leaving the University.
The General Manager of SCADA systems, the UAE representatives of Midtec, Mr Khaled Abo Eissa said that they are preparing two security systems for Alhosn.
"Time Attendance, a new system in the Middle East, provides the database with the times of arrival and departure of students and faculty staff recorded in smart ID cards," Mr Eissa explains.
Alhosn University is one of few facilities to use this advanced system, which combines the smart ID card with fingerprint technology.
"The ID card remains invalid until the individual ensures his identity with a fingerprint," Mr Eissa says.
The Oversight System CCTV is the second project Midrec is implementing at the university.
"The CCTV system monitors the buildings inside and outside to keep the safety and security of both the students and faculty staff." Mr Eissa added.
"There are many more upcoming projects which Midtec will be used to assist Alhosn University."
