"The Dubai airport mail transit hub has been designed to streamline and speed up mail delivery to destinations, with track and trace facility," said Mr. Abdullah Al Daboos, Director General, Emirates Post. "By using Dubai as a transit hub, postal administrations can be sure of secure transit and direct forwarding to end destination, all under the control of Emirates Post. Postal organizations can get attractive rates because of containerization and our ability to negotiate better rates with airlines."
"Globally, the mail hub concept is gaining momentum because it offers bulk transportation rates at more advantageous prices than the rates normally available to individual operators. The concept helps postal administrations reduce costs significantly and at the same time improve service. Dubai's strategic location, boosted by a vast airline network, makes is the ideal mail transit hub for global postal operators. We are delighted by the global response to our hub."
