This handy reference guidebook lists all approved telecom equipment and their respective vendors, so that customers can be assured of the products that are fully compatible with the Telecommunication Networks.

Mohammed Al Fahim, Executive Vice President- Marketing, Etisalat, said: 'This guide has been extremely well received in all its previous print runs, and we are confident that people will appreciate the benefit from having a comprehensive list of approved equipment and vendors while other customers may wish to know where to buy approved equipment, retailers and distributors can find out who the importer is. In either case, UAELAB ensures that any equipment that carries the UAELAB seal of approval is fully compatible with the Etisalat Networks and meets the highest levels of international standards.'

The 7th Telecom Buyer's Guide is produced in cooperation with INSIGHTS Middle East, and lists telecom equipment in categories like Fax, GSM/3G Handsets, ISDN/ADSL, Modem and Video Conferencing, Key Telephone Systems, PABX and WLAN. The guide is available in Etisalat Business Centres and customers can pick it up free of charge.

UAELAB uses state-of-the-art equipment to support local vendors by testing and certifying Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) intended for use on the telecommunications network. On passing stringent tests the equipment is awarded a unique UAELAB Type Approval Permit Certificate and reference. Customers will easily recognize equipment that has been certified by UAELAB as it will clearly display the UAELAB 'Approved Model' label. Equipment bearing this label gives customers the assurance that it has been locally tested to ensure full compatibility with the modern telecommunications networks.
