DWC Business Diploma students were asked to create a virtual company, research it thoroughly and operate the company at a college open day. The students chose a hotel operation as their business and spent time working within and researching Jumeirah. Many students have benefited from work experience at Jumeirah hotels, leading to a wider understanding of the day to day running of a hospitality company.

The award was presented to Amal Ghani, Emiratization Manager and Peter Mitchell, Group Director of Organisational Development for Jumeirah, on Monday 6 June, 2005 at DWC's annual award ceremony, the 'Celebration of Partnerships'.

On receiving the award, Mr Mitchell said: "We are pleased to support these young, enthusiastic Nationals in their studies and will continue to support Dubai Women's College with future projects."

Dr Howard Reed, Director, Dubai Women's College, said: "The support Jumeirah has given to the College is invaluable. The groundbreaking opportunities provided to our students in this virtual project are a tremendous learning experience and help fulfil our learning outcomes. We consider Jumeirah a key partner for success and value their on-going support."
