Zulekha Hospital in the UAE conducted a week-long programme to help people with diabetes to live a more healthy life. The hospital ran free diabetes check-ups, diet consultation, and a health seminar about living with the disease. Diabetes affects more than 20% of the adult population in the UAE, which makes the disease four times more prevalent than worldwide figures.
