The visit aimed at reviewing the ongoing businesses and operations of the new branch of the bank in KSA. Emirates Bank is the first UAE bank to establish presence in KSA.
Sulaiman Al Mazroui, Chief Manager Group Affairs commented that the visit was successful as H.E. Al Tayer met with H.E. Ibrahim Al Assaf, Saudi Minister of Finance and National Economy and exchanged views relating to financial and banking relations between the two countries. H.E. Al Assaf, praised Emirates Bank move towards extending its network to KSA to support the banking services offered to the citizens of both countries.
Mr. Al Mazroui added that during the visit, H.E. Al Tayer also met with H.E. Hamad Al Sayyari, the Governor of the Saudi Arabia Monetary Agency (SAMA) where they discussed issues relating to Emirates Bank in Riyadh and the development of its services to meet the expectations of the Saudi citizens.
H.E. the Governor, Hamad Al Sayyari, commended the speed at which Emirates Bank branch in KSA was established and the services it is offering. H.E. also noted the strong financial position of the branch and its competent management who are putting extensive efforts to offer high standards in banking services.
H.E Ahmed Al Tayer also visited Emirates Bank 1st branch in Olaya, Riyadh and met with the branch staff and thanked them for their efforts, congratulating them on their achievements. H.E. also inspected locations for new branches in KSA.
