- PRESS RELEASE
With summer fast approaching, Gulf residents are set to huddle round their home entertainment systems in greater numbers than ever before.
The PE7700, equipped with BenQ's unique Senseye technology, automatically and dynamically improves image quality and adjusts brightness and darkness level. BenQ's latest creative offering provides a strong, mid-range innovation for home theatre enthusiasts who desire a high standard of image quality.
"Summer is a time when people across the GCC gather round their home cinema to watch the hottest new movies around. People in our region are among the most discerning consumers in the world, and demand the clearest, sharpest picture quality in their home theatre unit. BenQ's new digital project technology satisfies this demand, and enhances our strategy to design enjoyment for the Middle East region," said Robert Dung, Managing Director of BenQ Middle East.
BenQ is a relatively recent entrant to the global market for digital projectors, but has already secured the number two spot in Asia. Within the Middle East, the company is confident that they are on course to capture the number two position for sales of digital projection systems in the key markets of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, following strong sales figures in the first half of 2005.
The Senseye projector engine equips the PE7700 to show differences between even the most subtle colors, while viewing live action both smoothly and flawlessly. In addition, the projector incorporates 1100 ANSI lumens of brightness, a 2500:1 contrast ratio for crisp, well-defined images, and a 6-segment color wheel displaying up to 16.7 million colors.
With its HDMI interface, the PE7700 is uniquely designed to carry uncompressed high-definition video and multi-channel audio in all HD formats up to 1080i, and so provides top-quality video and audio direct from the source.
"The PE7700 is truly a complete home cinema experience. With the crystal-clear images and sounds it generates, our new projector allows the viewer to think they are watching the action unfold live before their eyes," Dung continued.
With 5 built-in preset modes, the PE7700 is the most easy-to-use device in its class, and its 18-user preference setting enables users to customize their settings, and reflects BenQ's desire to design personalized enjoyment unique to each customer.
"Every viewer gains a different individual feeling from a movie, and the PE7700 reflects this with its customized settings. Our aim to design enjoyment is based on a desire to give each user a truly original experience, and we believe this sets us apart from our competitors across the GCC," Dung concluded.
