IDEX 2007 hails its presence at the Paris Air Show 2005 a tremendous success

The world acclaimed 46th International Paris Air Show 2005 edition, a biannual event held in Le Bourget, Paris, France, saw around 1,935 exhibitors, of which 87% were aerospace specific and the remaining 13% were defence related. The IDEX 2007 team completed a clear and decisive marketing strategy, ensuring that the all the defence related companies exhibiting at PAS 2005 were contacted in regard to IDEX 2007, some of which are already signed up exhibitors for the 2007 edition. As part of the marketing strategy for the IDEX 2007 team, was to promote the UAV and Rotor Wing pavilions of the 2007 event, which concluded in being a great success with most of the major players in these fields of technology showing positive interest in exhibiting in these two specialised pavilions of technology.

During PAS 2005, the IDEX team were able to confirm that the Republic of China will be exhibiting for the first time in a hall of its own, dedicated to China's defence industry, they will also be taking 100 sqm outdoor space. "We believe this is a very positive signing for Republic of China and IDEX 2007", said a spokesperson for GEC-AD.

SOFEX 2006 (the International Special Operations Forces & Law Enforcement Exhibition & Conference), to be held from 27-30 March 2006, Amman, Jordan, also received a lot of interest during PAS 2005 from the defence related industry. GEC-AD and the Jordan Armed Forces are jointly responsible for the promotion and execution of this specialised event.
