- PRESS RELEASE
Trend Micro, one of the world's leading antivirus software companies, is launching a new campaign to raise awareness of technology crime, and educate computer users about better ways to protect computers from hacking and other malicious activities.
In order to maximize effectiveness of the eye-catching campaign Trend Micro will be implementing a rigorous approach to educating its reseller channels about evolving threats, and its new products and services developed to combat them, as well as guiding them on various promotional incentives.
In recent months virus activity has surged dramatically to its highest level in almost two years. In response, Trend Micro, a global leader in network antivirus and internet content security software and services, has undergone an intensive phase of research and development to find new ways to counteract the growing threat. The company has recently launched a new portfolio of cutting edge technology security applications as a result.

Additionally the company acquired Kelkea, a leading authority on IP filtering and reputation services, to help combat the effect of spam today and evolving threats such as phishing and pharming. Trend Micro also has a "virus escalation service", which enables clients to forward infected files to Trend Micro's network of virus tracking laboratories spread across the globe, and receive rapid feedback on the nature of the threat.
Ghassan Lababidi, marketing manager of Trend Micro Middle East and Africa, said, "Trend Micro is at the cutting edge of malware research and prevention, our new secret-agent themed campaign highlights the company's efforts to counteract all types of digital subterfuge, whether in the home, small to medium sized business or enterprise."
