Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge Middle East half year sales rose 19 per cent over the same period last year helped by a massive 66 per cent boost from the luxury Chrysler brand.
Saudi Arabia continued to be the largest market in the region with half-year sales up 27%, closely followed by the UAE and Kuwait.
"The multi-award winning 300C luxury sedan is a huge success with long waiting lists," said Bruce Ohms, Vice President, Director, Sales and Marketing, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge, Middle East. "The versatile seven-seat Dodge Durango also continues to attract families looking for versatile transport."
Emphasing the increasing success of the brands, June also saw a 21% increase over the same period in 2004.
"I am delighted that we continue our upward sales trend in the first half of 2005," said Ohms. "With exciting vehicles such as the new Jeep Grand Cherokee now in our showrooms and an ambitious product offensive over the next three years which will see the expansion of both the Jeep and Dodge line-ups, it's clear that we are offering a range of vehicles that the public increasingly wants to drive," added Ohms.
